Kids Parties
**Please note that all parties and private lessons are located at our Fox Street Studio (49 Fox Street, Portland, ME) not at our main studio (Washington Ave) unless otherwise discussed**
During the 2-hour party, kids will learn the basics of making pottery and will let their imaginations soar while working on their own pieces. One of our fabulous instructors will help the kids work on their own projects and help pick out what colors they want their work to be. We offer various projects, but the opportunities are endless! Projects include:
Ages 3-6: Clay Rattles, Fairy houses, Coil Pots, Pinch Pot Monsters
Ages 7-14: Wheel Throwing, Slab Plant Pots, Hand Built Jars
After the party, we will trim, glaze, and fire your party’s work and will let you know once the pots are ready to be picked up. This usually takes us about 3-4 weeks. Your pots will be food, dishwasher and microwave safe.
Please note that there is a possibility of a piece breaking during the firing process! We do everything we can to avoid this, but it is still possible. If this happens, we will offer you a piece made by one of our staff members.
You are welcome to bring birthday cake, presents, and/or decorations to celebrate!
