Adult Classes
Portland Pottery offers informative, fun, and relaxing classes at our studio location in Portland, ME. Learn all about clay, wheel-throwing techniques, hand building, and the process of glazing and firing. We hope you’ll join us soon!
What our classes include:
Free bag of clay
Group and 1-on-1 instruction
Weekly demonstrations
Critiques of finished pieces
Access to Open Studio Hours (see below)
Classes meet for 3 hours each week for eight weeks.
Classes at the 118 Washington Avenue Studio use high-fire (cone 10) clay and fire in the reduction kiln - a unique offering in a community ceramics studio setting!
Classes offered at our 49 Fox Street Studio use mid-fire clay (Cone 5/6).
Looking for a one-off pottery class? Join us for an upcoming Fridays at Fox semi-private party (think date night, an evening with pals, a night on the town solo).
Our 8-week adult classes are currently in session.

Enrollment Information
We are thrilled that you are interested in taking one of our adult classes and joining our studio! We open up registration every two months. Existing students and members have priority and then we open spots up to the mailing list.

Cancellation Policy
Full refunds are available for cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled class.
No refunds or credits will be issued if cancellations are made within 72 hours of the first class.
