What to Expect

During this 2-hour class, one of our fabulous instructors will provide a demo of how to throw on the wheel and then help individuals work on their own pots.

This is great for intro / beginner students.

You’ll then select what colors you want to glaze your pots and clean up from your session. Most participants make 2-3 pieces during a 2 hour group party! Participants can create tumblers, bowls, and small dishes in this offering. Pieces that require handles (such as mugs) are not included.

Wear or bring clothes to change into that you don't mind getting dirty!

After the party, Portland Pottery will trim, glaze, and fire your work in a kiln. It will be ready to be picked up in 2-3 weeks. Your pots will be food, dishwasher and microwave safe.

Pricing

The fee is $65 per person and the event is for adults aged 18 and over. Pricing is a bit higher for this than the private party to cover the additional administrative costs.

Cancellation Policy

We issue a full refund for cancellations made more than 72 hours before the start of the lesson or party. No refunds will be issued if cancellations are made within 72 hours of the session. No refunds will be issued if fewer people participate than are registered.
